Princess Lily

Lily made her own beautiful crown,
necklace and bracelet and here she is
showing them off and playing with
her Macy Girl.

Earlier tonight, we were watching TV and a commercial for
protecting your children while they are online came on and
the following (hilarious) conversation ensued:

Preston: Lily, you are not going to be stupid when you grow up, are you?
Lily: No Daddy, I am going to be a girl.
I am not going to turn into a boy.
I am not going to be stupid or bad.
I am going to be a girl.

For anyone who know Preston, you know that is the best, most
hilarious, answer she could have possibly given to his question.

First Cold Day!

This past Saturday, it was very cold and
we had fun getting all bundled up to go
out and do a little Christmas shopping for
Macy Girl!

Haden Family Reunion

Today, Lily & I rode down with
Preston's family to the house
where Preston's Mamaw grew up in
Jasper County (near Bay Springs) for
the Haden family reunion. We had a wonderful
lunch and enjoyed spending a beautiful
day outdoors. Lily loved looking around all
of the rooms in the house at the old chairs
and especially the old space heaters (3 year
olds are very easily amused).
Lily especially liked what she called the
"run around the rocking chair room". Below
is a picture of Lily and Deb running around
the rocking chair.
Lily had a lot of fun marching up the road
to the tune of old army songs with Sherrie
and Deb.

There is an old pecan tree behind the house
and Lily had a lot of fun picking up "capons"
(aka pecans) and acorns.

At one point, Lily gave me my own private showing
of "Jesus Loves Me". She got a little distracted
when someone else walks up on us, but she
finished it out in the end!

Hopscotch

Trick-or-Treat!

This year we were lucky enough to
get two nights of Trick-or-Treating. Rankin
County moved their Halloween to Thursday
night, so we went to Mimi & Grand-D's to go
Trick-or-Treating in their neighborhood.
Lily got to be a big girl and roll her hair!
Here she is eating pizza with her rollers in.
Sassy lil' witch!

Kristin & Hal were headed to a costume
party and they dressed up as Sarah Palin
& John McCain. Here is a picture of Lily &
Kristin all dressed up.
The ended up winning best political
costume the next night at the UMC
Halloween party.
Lily had fun with the cool projection
flashlight that Mommy got for her!
Seth, Sally & Catherine came over to our house
on Friday night to Trick-or-Treat and eat dinner.
The girls ate at their own special table before we
headed out to get goodies!
Sad Little Witch and Happy Little CatThey loved holding hands and go

Along the way, Catherine & Lily ran into Emma
and they all Trick-or-Treated around Emma's
cul-de-sac together.
When we got back to the house, it was time for
a costume change!
Overall, Lily had a wonderful Halloween! Here is a short clip
of what she would say if she knocked on your door.....

Ballerinas in Disguise!

At ballet this week, everyone got to wear their
Halloween costumes. They had a lot of fun!

Lily, Kit & Anna Grace

We went to Mobile last weekend for Bob &
Melissa's engagement party and it was a lot
of fun! Lily had fun playing with her cousins.
She thought she was very big b/c she got to "hold"
Anna Grace!

Carving Pumpkins!

Once she got over getting her hands "yucky",
Lily enjoyed cleaning out the seeds.
Ta Da! The finished product!
Lily & Daddy carved a happy pumpkin
& a sad pumpkin!
