Hurricane Gustav

Lily was all ready for Hurricane Gustav
with her raincoat, rain boots & umbrella.
She also carried around water bottles all
day just to be prepared.

Southern Miss to the Top!!!

We went to the Southern Miss v. Louisiana-Lafayette game
on Saturday. We had a blast! Lily especially loved the Eagle Walk
& the cheerleaders.

She carried her water bottle around all day
and could unscrew the top and put it back
on all by herself!
Watching the Eagle Walk!
Here is a shot of Lily doing a cheer. She tried to learn
all of the cheers during the game.

Lily & her Daddy got their way and Lily
got a cheerleading uniform from the
Book Store. She LOVED it! She changed into
it right before the ga

She loved watching the players & the
"banders". She danced and cheered like crazy!
She kept telling me that when the music
played, she would dance.
Our little cheerleader made it through the
entire game and loved every minute of it!
We sat in the new endzone section & this was the
view from our seats.

A is for Apple

During Lily's first week of preschool, she learned about the
Letter A, the Number 1, Circles, the Color Red, and Apples.
Isn't she adorable in her apple hat and apple jack necklace?
I should note that she ate the apple jacks off of the necklace
the next Saturday when we did not fix breakfast quickly
enough to satisfy her hunger.

Lily's First Day of Three Year Old Kindergarten

On Monday, Lily moved up to 3K in Mrs. Janet's room. She had a great time. This week they are learning about the letter "A", the number "1", the color red, apples, and preschool.

Last Dauphin Island Trip of the Summer :(

Last weekend, we went to Dauphin Island to see GoGo, "Uncle Awesome" (Lee), MK & Tom.
On the way down, it took us FOREVER to get there and we ended up eating at Huddle House in Collins, MS. We ordered Lily a strawberry waffle (she called it a pancake) and this is what she got:Doesn't it look like she was in a pie eating contest????
On the beach Saturday, baby Anna Grace took a snooze on the golf cart while everyone played.
Isn't she sweet? She borrowed Lily's build-a-bear, Booie's sunglasses.

Lily was very excited about holding "her Baby Anna Grace"Tom (This lovely picture is a result of my camera not working, but my test shot has made the blog. I'm sure Tom is thrilled.)
We had a lot of fun! Lily was swimming in the water like a little fish!! She learned how to swim this summer and she has done a great job of remembering how to do it!!!

Ballet at Repeat Performance!!!

The morning of her first lesson, she was
all ready and so excited!

Literally jumping with excitement!!!

Isn't she the sweetest thing you have
ever seen??

Jumping over their bags

First position

They were SO excited when they put their tap shoes on.

Practicing their tumbling. They "made pizzas" to
stretch, did leap frogs and crab walking.

Making their "pizzas". Lily wanted cheese on hers,
but most of the kids wanted noodles or skittles!

Lily doing her crab walk

She did pretty well and kicking her
legs over the big "log"

Please watch this adorable video to see how Lily
did. In the first part, she is the fourth from the back
with the purple puff in her hair. In the other ballet part
and the tap part, you should be able to spot her.
In the last part, her friend Laura is the little girl in the
first group on your right and Lily is the one on your left in
the second group.
