Chipollino

At the beginning of May, Lily performed in Gulf Coast
Ballet Theatre's production of "Chipollino" at the
Saengar Theatre in Biloxi. She had so much fun
doing it and danced beautifully! We were so proud!

Lily made friends with all of the other little girls
who were in the ballet. It was a great experience.

Baby Showers!

Thank you so much to Christina Woods & Marion Quave
for the fabulous baby showers that they threw for me!
We received so many wonderful gifts and are so thankful
for everyone who celebrated the impending birth of McKellar
with us. Thank you all for the generous gifts!

My first shower was in Brandon, MS at the home
of Josh & Christina Woods. Here are a few of the highlights:
The wonderful hostess, Christina, with her precious
daughter, AnaKathryn. She thought it was hilarious
to smile right after you took a picture, so I had
to snap a 2nd one really quickly!
McKellar will stay warm in the beautiful blanket
that Mamaw made for him! Lily has always
loved her Mamaw blankets!!!!!
My little helper!
I was blown away by the blanket that Lindsey Binion
made for McKellar! She is very talented and this will
be a very special blanket. Thanks Lindsey!
My second shower was at El Saltillo in Ocean Springs. Marion
Quave put it together and a lot of people from my office turned out.
My mom even drove over from New Orleans! It was a joint
shower with my friend and co-worker, Pam Foster,
who is expecting a little boy, Elliot, in August. I know
he and McKellar will be fast friends! Lily loves to play with his
big sister Addison. Here are some highlights:
Marion ordered a beautiful cake and her
daughter, Angie, made precious diaper cakes!

Pam gave me this precious jonjon! I can't wait to have
McKellar here to dress him in all of his precious little
clothes and use all of the baby items with have stocked up on!

"How's McKellar doing today, Momma?"

Pretty much every day, at some point, Lily comes up to
me and asks "How's McKellar doing today, Momma?"
Its so sweet, she is already looking out for her little brother!
Yesterday, we got a great update as to how McKellar was doing,
so I thought I would share. When we first went in for our 4D
ultrasound, he was looking straight at us and then after only 2
pictures, he just rolled right over and put his back to us!
Thankfully they let me go do my appointment and when
we went back, he was facing the right way! Isn't he cute?
The ultrasound tech measured him and it looks like
he is about 3 lbs, 5 oz!!! All of the books say that at
27-28 weeks, he should only be around 2 lbs! Yesterday,
I was 27 weeks and 5 days, and McKellar measured at
around 30 weeks and 6 days, so it looks like he
will be a big baby like his 10 lb, 4 oz sister!
My health and weight are great, so I guess I just make big babies!
It was amazing to get to see his little face!
So sweet!
If you look closely, you can see his little foot by the arrows.

For comparison's sake, here are 3 of Lily's 4D ultrasound
pictures. I think they look similar and different at the
same time. I can't wait to meet McKellar and see what
he looks like in person!
Sweet little girl! Hard to believe she is so big now!!!!
This was a sweet one of Lily sucking on her hand.

Last T-Ball Game of the Short, Short Season!

T-Ball is already over for the season! The YMCA plays
2 games a week for just 4 weeks. That was plenty of
time for us though. Lily had a lot of fun and made
some new friends. Coach Preston enjoyed coaching,
but was not too terribly sad to see the season come
to an end. Coaching t-ball consists more of moving
wandering children back into position than anything else.
I think it was fun, but exhausting!!!!

Trophy!!!
I love this one of Lily & her Daddy!

Backyard Camp-out with Daddy

Lily and her daddy had a camp-out in the backyard
a few weeks ago while I was in New Orleans. They had
a lot of fun. Lily had a blast climbing the tree in the yard!

Zipping up the tent
They even had a campfire and roasted marshmallows
and got Lily's guitar out to play campfire songs.

The Beach!!

On account of the unseasonably warm weather this
year, we have been to the beach in Ocean Springs
several times already. Lily (and Macy) LOVE playing
in the water! We have also enjoyed riding our bikes
down to the beach to play and having a picnic.

Splashing in the waves!

They had a blast that day because it was low tide and
the water was shallow for what seemed like miles!
