Meeting Big Sister!

Once McKellar had been weighed, assessed, and

fed for the first time, it was finally time for Daddy to

go get Lily, so that she could come meet her baby brother!

It was love at first sight! It was so sweet to see her

meet him for the first time. She was so in awe!

Lily was so proud when she got to hold McKellar for

the very first time! She wouldn't let anyone else hold him.

The wonderful thing was, however, that he just loved

her and settled down and just let her love on him!

So sweet!

Lily was very excited about the sterling silver

big sis bracelet that we gave her after McKellar arrived!

Lily just seems so big now and McKellar so tiny!

Welcome to the World McKellar!!!!!!

On Thursday, July 7, 2011 (7/7/11!) at 12:46 p.m., I delivered

a healthy baby boy! McKellar Preston Goff

came into this world at a healthy 9 lbs, 3 oz and

21 inches! My labor and delivery were a breeze

thanks to Dr. Sams and all of the nurses at OSH!

He also came with a healthy set of lungs, which

he promptly used!!! I got to hold him immediately after

he was born, before they whisked him away for tests,

which was wonderful!!!

Waiting for McKellar!

On Wednesday night, June 6th, around 11:00 p.m.,

Preston & I headed to Ocean Springs Hospital to

get ready for my induction the next morning. After

a restful night, we were ready to get things rolling!

Thankfully, we were blessed and everything went perfectly

and I did not labor for too long at all.

All ready to go!

Once I was almost ready, everyone headed out to

the waiting room to impatiently await our announcement

that McKellar had been born! Every time a baby is

born at OSH, they play a lullaby, but there were several

babies born that day, so they heard the song a few times,

but had to wait a bit for Preston to come out and announce

McKellar! Big Sister, Lily, was super-excited, and I imagine

fairly impatient to meet her baby brother!

Monkeying Around

We made a little progress with the finishing touches
on the nursery by completing our little monkey trio
hanging from the vine in McKellar's room!
The white monkey came from Lily's collection of
stuffed animals, the adorable explorer was picked
out by Lily and GoGo at the New Orleans Zoo,
and the big one is a special puppet on loan from Mimi!
We can't believe he will be here in 5 days!!!!

"The Best Day Ever" ~Lily

To celebrate Lily's upcoming 6th birthday and because

she has been such a big helper with getting ready for

the baby, we packed her off to spend a fun weekend in New

Orleans with GoGo so that we could work hard and surprise

her with an all new big girl room! She was sooo excited!

Preston built her an awesome loft bed and we painted

and got new bedding and accessories. All of our hard work

paid off because now she has an awesome play space!

She is thrilled about her new under the bed fort

and things it is really cool to sleep up in a loft.

bed. She was very excited about this!

We really can't believe how well everything turned out!

Now Lily can play with her Barbie Dream house and her

dollhouse in her cool new fort!!!
